A really lovely place to stay. Beautifully set up and Sheila had thought of everything. Lots of extra treats and food we did not expect! Girls loved the hot tub. Thank you so much.

Firstly wow! The area in which this little cottage is set is beautiful, tranquil and private and has an enclosed garden for mine and my sister’s dogs. The welcome hamper was the best we’ve ever had with so many goodies in! Lots of local dog walks around the area and hotel grounds and we even found a waterfall after a heavy rainfall which was a lovely surprise. The cottage was clean and all beds made up, towels were provided too. Log fire and wood fired pizza oven and hot tub were so welcome on a foggy day when we were unable to travel. Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but not a real problem. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Only negative was only 2 windows open. We loved the fact we were surrounded by nature and birdsong and would have loved to have the windows open to make the most of this. Wouldn’t put us off going again as there are so many other areas we didn’t get to explore around there.

Maple cottage fitted our needs perfectly and Caroline and her associates were very friendly and helpful with any requests we made. The hot tub was a welcome relaxation bonus!

The photos don’t do this place justice. It really is beautiful. Quaint, spacious, clean and tidy. Plenty of facilities such as vac, mop, washing machine, dryer, cleaning products etc. Kitchen is a lovely space to all sit together. Bedrooms were very spacious and room for clothes etc. Lovely nights sleep in comfortable beds. Central heating worked a treat with log fire in the room (we didn’t need to use) including other heaters. It is lovely and warm and cosy. The views and surrounding areas are lovely. We used the hot tub which was a lovely addition and worked well been outside the conservatory part. We were a family group of mixed ages and we would absolutely stay here again. Host was great with contact prior to arrival with flexible check in/out. Overall a brilliant stay and we’ve also said we would return.

Just got back from an amazing weekend in Sycamore Lodge. We were a party of 5 and the lodge was perfect. Felt very luxurious, everything was spotlessly clean and the lodge had everything we needed. Hot tub was private and peaceful, and was well maintained. Hot tub comfortably fit everyone. Plenty of parking too. Had a fantastic stay, will definitely be back and will be recommending to family and friends!

Very comfortable w/e in an immaculate and well appointed property. So close to Staithes yet out of the hustle and bustle with views across open countryside. Would definitely rebook.

Great stay at Victoria cottage , house was very clean , cosy and well equipped. Bedrooms very warm and very comfortable. Loved the hot tub. Fantastic location in a lovely village and not far to visit Scarborough and Whitby .Ian always responded immediately with any queries .All in all a great half term break and would definitely recommend

The pictures of Photographer’s House only hint at what a fantastic home this is to stay in. We loved our stay here. Really spacious but with a cosy feel, thoughtfully decorated and furnished with loads of colour and personality and near to everything while still feeling secluded and peaceful. The weather was sunny but cold for our stay and we enjoyed the brilliant views from the decking and garden, warming up by the fire, takeaways from Cod and Lobster round the upstairs dining table and setting off along the cliff path for the beach. Ashley was a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. Learning about his father and feeling we were in a family home really added to the welcoming experience. Highly recommended!

We loved it so much the first time we stayed here, we went back again. It doesn't disappoint. It's location is beautiful and peaceful, yet close to all the fantastic trappings the North Yorkshire Moors are famous for, whether that is a visit to the coast or an Abbey or one of many beautiful historic towns. We will be going back again!

We had a great time here in Whitby. The house is huge and well equipped and we had plenty of space for our group of 12. We appreciated being able to explore by foot as the house is within walking distance of the station, the town and the beach. Would love to return and stay a bit longer!

We loved our stay at Lancaster House. We went with the family for my mums 60th birthday and Zoe’s place was perfect for our needs. It was very clean, easy to find and had lots of character which, was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely stay again! 😊

Our Coach House long weekend trip was delightful. The house is tucked away and peaceful. Even though the owners live next door, you would never know. It’s a stone’s throw from really good places to eat out and well-equipped to stay in. We loved the historical charm of the property and everything was well kept and comfortable. Trish met us at check in and showed us around and gave us recommendations for local places. Her welcome basket of goodies, cake and fridge staples were a pleasant surprise. I can honestly say we felt completely spoilt. The location is great for Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes. It was all completely fabulous!

Such a lovely 2 night stay with such lovely hosts Jacquie and Roger. My dogs and I felt so relaxed from the moment we arrived. Firstly, the gift of lemon poppy cake with a coffee was a delight after our journey with the easy to use machine. The cottage was as I expected if not more. The information provided upon arrival is the best I have ever seen, and was so informative about where to go. The surroundings were stunning and with gorgeous weather. The dogs made plenty of use of the secure dog field, and the walks along the bridleway. We were so tired at the end of each day, and really slept well. We went off to Scarborough beach twice and it was about 20 mins by car. the beach at North Bay was stunning and quiet because it was mid week and not in the holiday season. I would highly recommend it. I enjoyed sitting in the field one evening to see the sky at night and that was amazing with the help of the app and thd sun rise in the morning. We will definitely return!

Beautiful place with amazing views of a lovely little village . Anyone wishing to do the paradise biking trail.. the trail passes this property which makes it a perfect location. Everything you can wish for in a self contained apartment. I stayed for one night but could have easily stayed longer.

This was our second visit to the cottage which is by far our favourite Airbnb property that we've stayed in. It's a lovely property, has everything you could need, extremely clean and very homely. Ideal location for visiting Durham, close to large supermarket as well as local shops in the village. Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in the area.

Expensive but worth every penny for our 4 generation trip. Rooms for exuberant kids and quiet rooms for 90+ years old great grand parents. Large sociable kitchen diner . Swim spa at 35c so great for the Californian kids.

This hidden gem was perfect for our family getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. we were welcomed with a smile, and a beautiful home made cake and loaf of bread, as well as a fun "boo-basket' with hot chocolate, smores ingredients and a pumpkin to carve. cottage was exactly as described and clean and tidy. we loved the indoor swimming pool and games room, allowing us the holiday fun irrespective of the weather. The Coachman Inn pub only a mile away, had the freshest pint and one of the best steaks we've ever had. close to Pickering, were we took the steam train to Goathland, and Dalby forest to go swing at Go Ape and ride bikes. and only 30 mins from Whitby to get a dose of sea-side and fish n chips! the grounds of the cottage were beautiful too, for a lovely evening stroll, where we met the sweetest chickens and ducks. Truly a fab week away to recharge the batteries !! thanks so much!! and will definitely recommend!

Perfect location. Perfect house. Perfect host. I stayed in Orchard House with my husband, daughter, son in law and two grandchildren aged 12 and 14. The host was so kind and had left milk, bread and a home made loaf for us. One morning we found a bowl of peaches from her garden on our doorstep. Jacqueline is nice and friendly and is available if you need to know anything. We loved everything about the house. Plenty room for us all. Great sized living room. Kitchen come dining room was ideal as were the 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The appliances are new and of the highest quality. Also made use of the log fire when we returned at night. We all enjoyed the swimming pool and table tennis. These activities were such an added bonus. A quiet peaceful location close to so many beautiful villages. Visited Thornton-le-Dale, Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, Filey, Eden Camp, Flamingo Land, and went on the NYMR steam train from Pickering to Whitby.

Excellent accomodation. Just fantastic. The kids and us had so much to do and so much to see on The grounds alone which is extraordinary. Stunning fish pond with lots of massive fish. Impressive walks with space for a camp fire which was well utilised. Chicken to feed and tasty apples from a few apple trees. Then there's the indoor swimming pool, the main reason we chose this property and we weren't disappointed. The kids LOVED IT, we all did. You get about 2 or 3 hours swimming time in total a day which is just great. Can't beat the location either, lots to see and do in close proximity. Cottage was clean, tidy and had all we needed. The hosts were splendid also, easy to contact and respond promptly. They'll assist in any way they can. We're certainly looking forward to rebooking for our next holiday. Thanks.

We had a magical stay at Apple Cottage. The garden, glass house, chickens and ducks were a cottage life fantasy, we did not want to leave! The pool was amazing. The local area was pretty and we would definitely recommend a trip to Thornton-Le-Dale.

Perfect location for exploring the North Yorks Moors and East Coast. The cottage was exactly as described, comfortable and a great base. Facilities were great and the local village is very peaceful with a good local pub for food and drinks.
