My husband and I spent a week here! It was the best time, the place is gorgeous and scenic, quiet and peaceful. Maryke is one of the best hosts I’ve experienced, she’s very thoughtful and communicated promptly throughout our stay. We loved the stay at this cottage and we will definitely be back!

Jacquie was an amazing host, she even gave us dinner on the first night as we didn't realize how remote the location was. Really enjoyable stay and we will be back.

The best stay at the Rondavel at Gartmore Farm 😍. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night (4 nights in total). The cottage has its own fenced in private garden so our dogs were safe & secure. Also, the walks and runs on the farm are so beautiful, bordering the Karkloof cycling trails as well, so very easily accessible. Also on the Karkloof conservancy so a treat for birders. The most relaxing and active stay we have had in a while and we can't wait to be back!

Would highly recommend Celtis Cottage. The house is set on a tranquil hilltop with a striking view of Bellpark dam and the Drakensberg mountains. It is in an excellent location for day-hikes, with Blue Grotto, the Sphinx and Monks Cowl being rather close by. The house is well-equipped and has everything you need. I happen to be one of those people who bring their own pans, spatulas, sponges, cloths, knives and dish liquid. I did not need to take out any of my things, since the kitchen had everything we required and everything was in great condition. The house was clean and such a joy to spend time in. Compliments to the sophisticated decor and furnishings. Helen is the most gracious and kind host, and I am sure Celtis Cottage will see us again in the future.

We loved our stay, the listing is as advertised and had everything we needed. The beautiful and peaceful surroundings made this a 5 star stay!

Cottage was actually better than the photos. Was lovely and clean, also very helpful to have Sylvia help out with cleaning etc, she was lovely. Comfortable beds and good linen. Fire not working which was a little disappointing the first night as it was chilly, not needed after that.. hopefully will be available in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The fresh eggs, milk and fruit was an added bonus. The fishing was top class. Awesome view of the dam and surroundings. We saw some amazing lighting storms and waking up to see the wild rabbits out front was a first for us. Will definitely be back again.

What an extraordinary space - a converted stone church that sits so peacefully in the countryside. It had everything we could have wanted inside, plus beautiful gardens, a pool and the lovely Tembani, who's a whiz in the kitchen. We'll certainly be back for a longer stay! Thank you Paul and Jennifer
