Very clean and pretty! Exactly what we were looking for, will definitely stay again the next time we are in the area. I stayed for a work trip but would love to come back with my family as there is a lot to do on the property!

Everything was absoultely perfect!! We booked the Queen Suite last minute since we were driving through the area. It was very peaceful! We were able to enjoy the pool in the afternoon and sit out under the twinkle lights at night listening to nature. The room was clean and had all the essentials provided we needed. I would definitely recommend this airbnb!

Our family vacation started out a little rough with another airbnb and location. Thankfully we found Vicky and Micky and they able to turn our whole vacation around for us. They were amazing host's! They answered all of our questions and helped make our vacation memorable.

This was an amazing stay and both Lacy and Rebekah were amazing! Me and my mother were traveling to Waco for a Baylor graduation from Houston. Our original reservation was for a motel which we didn’t realize until the day of and with two females by ourselves we didn’t think it would be safe. Within the last two hours of our drive we were rushing to find a new place to stay. Which is where Lacy came in letting us know they had availability for our last minute stay. We got there a little earlier than our reservation and meet Rebekah (property manager) who let us know we could stay at the pool until our room was ready. It was far enough from Waco to enjoy the nature but about 15mins from Waco to enjoy the stores and restaurants. The rooms were amazing as well as the pool. There was also fun activities to do outside that was set up and some sitting areas. Everything looked exactly as the pictures. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to any and everyone!!

My stay at The Charmadillo was fantastic. The property and unit was spotless, beautifully designed, and perfectly set up for a comfortable and relaxing visit. From the cozy atmosphere to the thoughtful amenities, everything made it easy to feel right at home. Sarah was an attentive and friendly host, quick to respond and genuinely committed to making the experience smooth and enjoyable. The peaceful surroundings made it a true escape, perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway.

Such a beautiful place to relax and decompress in the middle of the hill country. Bright skies, plenty of stars, absolutely no noise but the sound of nature throughout our stay which made it an unforgettable experience. Will definitely be back with a larger posse next time!

How was outstanding and went the extra mile for us. Right next door to disc golf course and golf course: everything clean and peacocks were a plus. Bed very comfortable. Love that water dispenser, very cold. Everything u need . Thanks!! Until next time!!

Such a perfect getaway with my partner and our pup. Tucked in the middle of the hills, it was so quiet we found ourselves whispering at some points, sort of like a silent retreat for us we loved it. Everything was clean and I loved the little details of the coffee, comfy robes, and eucalyptus in the shower (I do that at home). I think we found our regular getaway.

Peculiar nest is a beautiful little respite with great views of the resaca. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The host were kind, agreeable and helpful! Best of all were the Peacocks that call the Peculiar Nest home! We look forward to returning.

You'll love it!! We always stay at Peculiar Nest! This was our 5th time. The Kims are wonderful hosts in this private piece of paradise. A plethora of all species of birds and right on the water, an anomaly in this part of Texas. It is our respite from the world, and a jumping ground to visit all over S. Texas/The Rio Grande Valley.

I came back from my last stay a year ago and I felt right at home. Everything was the just like how I remember it from last year. It's honestly a great place to go and relax. You have the sense that you have all the time in the world. It's peaceful and enjoyable.

We loved our stay at the Study Butte! The unit is so beautiful decorated with all the kitchen amenities you would need. The bed was super comfortable, as well! We really appreciated all of the local recommendations left in the unit. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Terlingua & Big Bend!

Carrie and Stanley were great hosts! Whenever I needed help, Carrie was very responsive and Stanley was right there to fix it right away. Thanks for everything!

Zach and Calrlyle were very professional and friendly. Very responsive when we eneded something. The place is beautiful, very well appointed with amaing grounds great cabins, clean and top restrooms and super nice with all needed common kitchen. We will definetely come back. Besides very close to Houston.

This was our first time here and definitely won’t be our last. There’s so much to do for the whole family. The kids loved fishing, swimming, and the paddle boats the most. We loved the cottage and the master bed was so comfortable too. Everyone is so kind and the service was awesome too. A maintenance man stopped on his golf cart while I was walking our dog just to pet him and give him a dog biscuit. We can’t wait to go back. LOVE this place!!!

Enjoyed my stay here! Everything was very clean and comfortable it had all the amenities I needed. Loved it!

Had a great stay here. Conveniently located just minutes from the entrance to Big Bend National Park. Bed was super comfy, and the room was spacious. My only complaint is that the water pressure was a bit low in the bathroom sink, and didn’t drain very well. Also bathroom was very dimly lit and made it a bit hard to see. Overall we had a wonderful stay though!

The cabin and resort was exactly what we needed. Beautiful property and cabin, lots to do on the property. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We plan to return.
