This is a cultural landmark built to resemble a royal barge with two "Karaweik" mythical birds. It is a popular hangout and dining location for locals and tourists inside the Kandawgyi Park.
This is one of the premier places in the country to watch live cultural performances of traditional Burmese music, dance, chinlone, and more; all while eating a wonderful buffet seated within a giant golden boat on the lake! Dances and music are reflective of not just the Bamar, but also minorities such as the Shan, Rakhine, Mon, etc.
Take in the panoramic views of the Royal Lake and the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda as you dine in Karaweik Hall, a bird-shaped floating restaurant with three floors of dining rooms, open spaces for traditional performances, and other activities for children.
