A short drive down Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive. Absolutely amazing between November and February when the migrating bald eagles are here to feed on the spawning kokanee salmon. Watch them dive into the lake for their next meal. From the parking area, you can walk the trail to Higgins Point (along HWY 90, so it can get a bit noisy, but definitely worth a visit). Great views of the lake all year!

The North Idaho Centennial Trail dead ends at Higgins Point. In the wintertime you’ll likely see a bald eagle here, and in the summer it’s a great place to jump in the water to cool off!
Nice flat paved trail with public restrooms along the route. Good for biking or hiking along the lake. Beautiful lake views. Easy hiking.
Awesome place for a walk and eagle watching. Met a group of scuba divers checking out the winter salmon run. Beautiful place, on a point surrounded by water on 3 sides.
